Last Saturday,
November 30th 2013 in Benin Republic, Save Our Needy (SON), an
international non-profit organization gave financial aid to several
disadvantaged women to assist them set up or reinforce their various small
businesses after 3 months training on shea butter production and soap making.
The beneficiaries of
the project entitled ‘’SON Youth and Women Entrepreneurship Program’’ include
widows, disabled women and a young school dropout.

The project is geared
towards poverty alleviation. It aims to encourage more disadvantaged youth and
women undertake entrepreneurship in order to become financially independent.
The CEO of Save Our
Needy, Marvella Odili, implored the beneficiaries to make good use of the funds
they received as there will be a follow-up on the project.
