Save Our Needy Fights Poverty By Empowering Marginalized Women

When a woman is economically empowered, she has the ability to lift her whole family out of poverty. Through the SON Women Entrepreneurship Program, Save Our Needy is assisting marginalized and vulnerable women become self-sufficient. The women are given material and/or financial donations to start their own small businesses or boost their small businesses. We believe that an empowered woman will be able to educate, protect and provide better health services for her children.

Mrs. Nwabueze recently benefitted from this Program as Save Our Needy donated clothes (men and women clothing) and shoes for her to boost her small business of selling gently used clothes.
Mrs. Nwabueze is a widow with 3 children who has been facing financial difficulties even before she lost her husband 3 years ago due to a long-standing illness. She was very grateful for the items received.

Mama Aliya (as she's fondly called) also recently got financial donation from Save Our Needy to boost her small business. She was given gifts for herself and her 5 children to make them happy. A struggling young mother, Mama Aliya has been the breadwinner in her home for more than 5 years now. She was very grateful for the help she got from us.

Celebrating International Women's Day

Today, we celebrate International Women's Day. We celebrate all the women around the world making amazing contributions to the world. Young women like Malala Yousafzai have made tremendous differences in their communities and the world at large.

You have the power to make positive change by speaking out against issues affecting women all over the world, particularly in Africa such as gender inequality, sexual violation, child marriage and female genital mutilation. Make your voice count. #BeBoldForChange
