Celebrating International Women's Day 2023
Happy International Women's Day!!!
This year’s theme, "DigitALL: Innovation and technology for gender equality", is in alliance with Save Our Needy's passion and purpose.
This year, International Women's Day celebrates the contributions of the women and girls committed to building gender-responsive innovations and advancing innovation and digital technology.
Over the years, we have initiated and successfully implemented technology-related projects that have empowered both marginalized women and girls and given them the opportunity to not only gain financial freedom but break ceilings. Projects namely "Connecting Marginalized Women to Technology and Development", "Tech Girls" and "Girls Up" have been instrumental to creating transformative change through the use of technology, advancing innovation and promoting gender equality.
With less than 10 years to achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), we still have a lot to do in order to close the huge gender digital divide.
We need to demystify the notion that women cannot be leaders in technology.
Together, we can close the digital gender gap!

Celebrating ALL women on Women's Day
International Women's Day, celebrated on the 8th
of March, is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and
political achievements of women - while also marking a call to action for
accelerating gender equality. This year's theme is Each For Equal. The IWD
2020 campaign theme is drawn from a notion of 'Collective Individualism.'
An equal world is an enabled world.
Individually, we're all responsible for our own
thoughts and actions - all day, every day. We can actively choose to challenge stereotypes, fight bias,
broaden perceptions, improve situations and celebrate women's achievements.
Collectively, each one of us can help create a gender
equal world.
Women's equality can't wait. It's going to take
everyone to think and be inclusive - all the time, everywhere so
take action NOW.
Let's all be #EachforEqual.

Happy International Women's Day
Save Our Needy joined the rest of the world to celebrate International Women's Day, today. The theme for this year is “Think Equal, Build Smart, Innovate for Change."
This theme puts innovation by women and girls, for women and girls, at the heart of efforts to achieve gender equality.
Achieving a gender-equal world requires social innovations that work for both women and men and that leave no one behind. From urban planning that focuses on community safety to e-learning platforms that take classrooms to women and girls, affordable and quality childcare centres, and technology shaped by women, innovation can take the race for gender equality to its finishing line by 2030.
It begins with making sure that women’s and girls' needs and experiences are integrated at the very inception of technology and innovations. It means building smart solutions and innovations disrupt business as usual and that go beyond acknowledging the gender gap to addressing the needs of men and women equally.
The theme means paying attention to how and by whom technology is used and accessed, and ensuring that women and girls play a decisive role in emerging industries.
Today, we celebrate all women, their dreams, their strength, their limitless imagination and ultimately, their resolve to make the world a better place for all.
Happy International Women's Day!!!

Empowering Women To Build Nations
Yesterday, March 8th, was International Women's Day. Every year, it is celebrated all over the world marked by an incredible range of activities, events, projects and traditions.
The meaning of this day is as diverse as the individuals and groups who mobilize around it. Activities range from celebration, to call for action, demonstrations, marches, recognition of inspirational women, reflections on past struggles and achievements, plans for goals to accomplish in the future...
Save Our Needy celebrates the millions of women around the world who are making incredible contributions to global development. The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) cannot be achieved by 2030 if women are not empowered. SON theme this year for Women's Day is: ''Empowering Women To Build Nations.''
When women and girls can exercise their rights and live in good health and dignity, their families, communities and nations will prosper. Today, it is a known fact that women are the backbone of the rural economy particularly in Africa.
Early/forced marriage, violence against women and girls, gender inequality, human trafficking and female genital mutilation are some of the very important issues that need to be tackled if women are to contribute wholesomely to nation building and economic development.
Supporting women and girls is not just about good governance, it is also about smart development.
